Admin: A quick sketch, coz I got nothing for April fools. We dont really celebrate it anyway. hehe.
Based on this youtube vid where an Australian guy orders at Jollibee using deep tagalog words (The menu at Jollibee is definitely in English). In the Philippines, most Filipinos at least understands English. Its everywhere especially in the cities. And those who doesnt know English, usually dont shy away and will still try to find a way to communicate. You dont really need to know our language to visit us. So most Filipinos think its cool when a foreigner makes an effort to speak our language. Its pretty funny too.
Anyway, he was ordering a serving of Chicken joy (kaligayahan ng manok - but if you translate this to english, he's asking for the happiness of the chicken. XD ), and a Burger champ (Pacquiao, as in the boxer, burger)
If you dont know what jollibee is, here's an idea:
US = Mc Donalds
we talked about this video over dinner and at first I was confused
but then I saw this and I just "OH."
Imagine an all tagalog speach said in a very slang english way
